Last August, Albemarle Supervisors were briefed on how an increase of the cost estimate to complete the Eastern Avenue project in Crozet. At the time, one member called for staff to study an alternative method to procure the project called a public-private partnership.
In addition, Carter Machinery Company has filed for official clearance to operate at their newly purchased location on Rio Road next to the Northside Library.
The work is expected to cause some delays during construction.
The acknowledgement came at the beginning of Albemarle Supervisors’ meeting on May 1, 2024.
