Albemarle’s population is expected to continue to grow and planning staff are seeking ways to continue to concentrate that growth in about five percent of the county’s land
The new Comprehensive Plan directs staff to alter land use rules to accomplish various goals such as increased housing density in the development area
AC44 leaves the development area boundaries the same but for the first time has language about what should be considered if Supervisors ever want to expand them
