Council has approved the acquisition of land for a pocket park in the Meadows neighborhood, land to complete the 250 Bypass commuter trail, and land along Moores Creek to help complete the city-wide green belt.
This particular roundabout wouldn’t be built until the end of this decade and there is still time for the planning process to work its way through with a public hearing scheduled for spring 2025.
Last August, Albemarle Supervisors were briefed on how an increase of the cost estimate to complete the Eastern Avenue project in Crozet. At the time, one member called for staff to study an alternative method to procure the project called a public-private partnership.
