Spring season registration is open for Charlottesville volleyball and softball leagues

Perhaps springtime comes with the desire to try out new things and new pastimes. Perhaps you might consider playing in one of the recreational sports leagues organized by the Charlottesville Parks and Recreation Department?

If so, registration is now open for the Adult Spring Volleyball and the Adult Spring Softball leagues.

“Both seasons kick off on April 20, 2026, so now’s the perfect time to sign up, gather your team, and get ready for fun, friendly competition this spring,” reads an announcement from the city about registration. “Leagues are open to individuals ages 18 and older!”

There are many skill levels for those who choose to wield a bat. Registration happens through April 8 or until all rosters are filled. Registration is $500 a team according to the city’s website. (register here)

Volleyball teams will play ten matches with the top four going a playoff. Registration for the next season goes through April 6 or until full. Registration is $350 a team. Learn more on the city’s website. (register here)
