Tomorrow is the United Way Day of Caring and organizations across the region are planning events to support vulnerable populations and area nonprofits.
The Jefferson Area Board of Aging will have a party tomorrow morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center at Belvedere called the Fall Ball and volunteers from Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital will be on hand.
“Sentara volunteers, including the President of Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, Elwood Bernard ‘Bernie’ Boone III, will connect with older adults, serve lunch, and – of course – dance,” reads an information release sent at 1:25 p.m. ‘This is an important opportunity for those working in the healthcare field to connect on a more personal level with the populations they serve.”
This time around, the Fall Ball is also a celebration of JABA’s 50th anniversary.
