The school system will hold a question and answer period on February 4 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Summit Elementary.

Pryor was chosen from seven candidates who applied to fill a vacancy left after the death of Chuck Pace
Three seats are up on the Charlottesville School Board in the November election and so far three candidates have announced.
Applications are being taken through January 7, 2025
Chuck Pace had been appointed to the School Board in late 2023 to a vacant seat in the Rio District.
The meeting with the Albemarle School Board begins at 1 p.m. There are three public hearings in the evening session at 6 p.m.
This was the only local race in Albemarle County this cycle with a special election to replace the Rio District seat vacated by Delegate Katrina Callsen.
