IMPACT has asked Albemarle and Charlottesville to cover the costs of Charlottesville Area Transit hiring enough bus drivers as the agency’s manager says he needs to expand service
CAT has not had someone in place to handle placement of ads for some time.
CAT currently is authorized for 66 drivers and 108 are needed for the level of service IMPACT is seeking
The bus shelter will serve the trolley route
The trolley is the route with the third highest ridership.
CAT Director Garland Williams said the facility is needed for the agency to transition away from fossil fuels
Planning for the Afton Express dates back many years and the service is in its fourth year
This will be the third meeting for the new organization’s governing board.
