Four out of the seven seats on the Louisa County Board of Supervisors were up for election this year. Two of the races were contested. Turnout was 59 percent according to the Virginia Department of Elections.
Fitzgerald Barnes won again in the Patrick Henry District as did Rachel Jones in the Green Springs District. Barnes got 91.62 percent of the vote with write-in candidates getting 8.38 percent. Jones did slightly better with 95.54 percent and write-in candidates getting 4.46 percent.
In the Mineral District, David Harold Rogers challenged incumbent Duane Adams. Adams held onto the seat with 53.32 percent of the vote. That’s 1,431 votes for Adams to 1,235 for Rogers.
In the Mountain District, Jack Trammell challenged incumbent Tommy Barlow. Barlow received 67.65 percent of the vote or 1,625 votes. Trammel received 762 votes.
There were four seats up for election on the Louisa County School Board and all of the races were uncontested.
- Incumbent Debbie Hoffman in the Green Springs District had 97.11 of the vote.
- Incumbent Lloyd Runnett got 97.39 percent in the Mineral District.
- Incumbent O. Gail Proffitt got 97.36 percent in the Mountain Road District.
- Incumbent Gregory Strickland in the Patrick Henry District received 96.3 percent of the vote.
Republican Winsome-Earle Sears won Louisa County with 59.52 percent of the vote to 40.25 percent for Democrat Abigail Spanberger.
